The lovely Felicity is joining us from Canada and here we are today in Seattle of all places. We must just hope her book will not cause the controversy the lovely Milady Roger’s did. Taliano has been running about in a bridal veil since.
If he’d just cover his face with it, it might be an improvement. But no. No. That would be too much to hope for. Then there is Myrtle hoping Crow will marry her. 
However we are sure that a steam rabbit will be of interest to them and calm them all down and who knows but Myrtle will transfer her affections elsewhere……
Felicitations on seeing you in our little stopover today here in Seattle. Can you tell us something about your journey from your homeland?
Thank you so much for having me onboard, Lady Fury. It is most gracious of you to invite me for tea. I would tell you about the journey if I could remember it, my lady. I fear the Jamaican Rum aboard ship is a bit stronger than I am accustomed to partaking.
Yes. Well. I do not understand how there is so…ahem…much of it. I do my best you know to bring enlightenment to the men that way but sometimes one feels one is wasting one’s time. And should just go back tom looking after one’s children. Still, the crew is making you welcome I trust?
Quite well, thank you Lady Fury. They are very friendly and enthusiastic in their duty to see to my comforts. Perhaps a bit too enthusiastic. One in particular has become attached to cleaning my stiletto heeled boots, especially while I’m wearing them.
Well, Taliano does rather like stilettos although I can’t say the same for his tongue. He just has his little fetishes. Now then, you have brought me a pleasing little gift I see.
Yes, my lady. I do hope you enjoy the Beaver Tail. It’s a Canadian delicacy. Crisp pastry covered in cinnamon and sugar. My favourite.
How glad am I you explained that. Although I’m quite sure had you produced a proper beaver’s tail the men would have eaten it just the same.

But we thought… so this is the story of a randy rabbit then? A sort of animal story….? Because if it’s anything else I fear I may not be able to guarantee your safety unless you slip off the boat before the read it… Anyway,, you have met all the charming members of the club, whose attention you have already. Can you tell us why we should each of us spend a week reading your book?
Well, as an erotic romance, there really isn’t quite anything like it out there on the market. For one thing, it’s set at a Fan Exposition. For another, the hero, Lucas is neither a musician nor a wealthy industrialist. He’s an artist. A very sexy artist. Casey, the heroine, is his promotional assistant trying to help him sell his work and as naughty as can be as she struggles with the idea of marriage.
My goodness. How like Flint.
She wants to be free (don’t we all?). Lucas wants her (don’t they all?). Together they are fire as they fight for their happy ever after. There’s a tremendous amount of love in this book, and I do hope your members don’t mind, but also a lot of sexy steamy, er, sex.
Sex? Dear me. I should not say that in too loud a tone in here. Already you can see the gentlemen are drooling and we should not like Myrtle to attack Crow.

Under my pillow? Do not be silly. Why, am I not a brothel keeper’s daughter from Jamaica? Sorry. DO forgive me. To think though, I believed this was a book about a mechanical rabbit….

While I think I have cured Flint of eyeing other women, he is still a great one for eyeing everything else. He calls it booty. Is there anything I should do to disabuse him of helping himself to other people’s boats and their contents? Already we have four gondolas aboard.

most thoughtfully provided our fare today, largely because the pirates eschew the culinary arts for cutlass waving, drinking and frolicking on shore with wenches. AS you can see. Do you have any tips for making them try at least to help my maid, Susan, in the galley? It is such a task and she gets quite fraught.
Oh! Such lovely cakes. I have never seen nor tasted their better.
Perhaps if Susan wore stiletto heeled boots the crew would be more attentive to helping her in the kitchen? She could also try lowering her bodice to reveal her shapely wares. A woman must use whatever means are at hand to tame the men in her passel. Including withholding the grog until he’s dumped the trash overboard.
Well, one has rules of course. Susan…we don’t want to encourage her too dearly, already she has had a huge argument with Shehanne, because Susan wanted to look like this…
And Shehanne had to tell her straight that only did maids NOT look like that in 1820, wearing these boots to do housework would kill her feet. Anyway, Seattle is quite the place to be sleepless in lovely I am sure, what with its film festival, Henry Art Gallery,
its sea going festivals..oh dear I do hope Flint does not want to go to that because he will bring half the boats here by the end of it ..and its Great Wheel, what sites—if any– do you intend visiting here when you leave the ship? Provided of course, you first sign a disclaimer that you never saw me, or Flint?
I do believe there is a structure here called a Space Needle that is reputed to be quite grand. We have a similar structure in Toronto called the CN Tower. It is quite large and tall. They both bear a striking resemblance to a Grecian column, except with a curiously bulbous top. I can’t help but wonder where the inspiration for such architecture came from.

Milady Hunt’, I do not know what you mean….
Lady Fury was a delight to meet, Jane. The vessel was very clean. I had heard rumours of a hamster infestation, but did not see a single furry creature in sight. Unless you count some of the crew. But pirates will do as pirates do. It was wonderful to be asked aboard for tea. The cakes really were delicious. (Though I did wonder about that vial on the table marked with a red “X” and the little drawing of a scull and crossbones.)
Oh my dear, how very nice of you say all this Milady. You must come back soon with you next book. I am sure the vial was rum, nothing more…
